When it comes to cookies, there is two sides you can be on, the soft and chewy or then thin and crispy side. Me personally, I love the thicker and soft cookies that are chewy. These old-fashioned oatmeal chocolate chip cookies come out chewy and stay chewy for days after you make them. The cookies are packed with chocolate chips and rolled oats (doesn't that make these healthy). The cookies are extremely simple to prepare and make in minutes. I am not a huge sweets person, but I love these cookies!!

Double Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

As we are in the middle of the summer, the super hot weather we are having here is making the zucchini grow at a crazy rate.  These double chocolate zucchini muffins are the perfect way to use some of them up. The  muffin come out sweet and rich of from the chocolate and moist from the tender zucchini speckled throughout. Like most muffins they are super quick and easy to make  and they freeze fantastic in a air tight container for a few months, but they tend not to last very long once baked.

Here in Minnesota, it seems like every barbecue or party, you will always see some type of bars on the table. They are very easy to make and are typically delicious. These chocolate mud hen bars don't have the best sounding name but they come tasting really good. They are pretty much a s'more type bar that has a cookie crust with walnuts, chocolate and marshmallows topped with a brown sugar meringue. The bars some out chewy and sweet.

The Classic paring of orange and chocolate is really popular and common around the holidays especially when you see those iconic Terry's Chocolate Orange floating around. If you don't know what a terry chocolate orange is a chocolate shaped orange that if opened correctly it opens into a perfectly sectioned "orange" of chocolate. In these chocolate orange brownies, you get a similar flavor in a rich, moist cake like brownie. The brownies are speckled with pecan pieces and have a bold orange flavor which pairs excellent with the chocolate brownie. If you are not nut friendly, you can substitute with equal portions of mini chocolate chips.
