For baking, one of the hardest skills it is to make a bread The constant attention of kneading and resting the dough for hours to hope that all your hard work turns out correct is a lot for a home cook. This easy no-knead crusty bread recipe puts all of the hard work to the side. The bread comes out flavorful and soft on the inside and has a great crust on the outside. It is the perfect bread for any meal. The best part it only has THREE ingredients (well four if you count the water).Check out the recipe below.
In a large bowl, add the yeast, salt and water and mix until smooth and everything incorporated. Stir in flour, mixing until there are no dry spots. Dough will be loose. Cover loosely and let dough rise at room temperature 2 hours.
Once the dough has risen, sprinkle a little flour on top of the dough and cut the dough into quarters with serrated knife. Turn dough in hands to lightly stretch surface, creating a rounded top and a lumpy bottom. Put dough on greased or floured surface and let rest for an additional 30- 40 minutes. As the dough rests, preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place a metal baking pan on bottom of oven along with a baking stone on middle rack.
Dust dough with flour, slash an X on the top with serrated or very sharp knife on each loaf of dough. Slide onto stone. Pour one cup hot water into broiler pan and shut oven quickly to trap steam. Bake until well browned, about 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
