This quick and easy recipe is definitely going to be a hit. This honey garlic shrimp and broccoli is perfect for a gathering or a quiet mid week dinner. The recipe uses very easy to find ingredients, most are probably already in your pantry to begin with. The sticky sweet and garlic sauce coats the shrimp and broccoli and takes can be done by the time the rice is done cooking, about 20 minutes.
In a small bowl add the honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, chili sauce and mix until combined.
Place the peeled and deveined shrimp into a bowl and add 1/2 of the sauce. Toss and marinate 20-30 minutes. Whisk in the cornstarch to the reserved marinade and set aside.
Heat a skillet on high heat, add 2 teaspoons of olive oil and the broccoli. Cook for 5-6 minutes just until soft. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Remove the shrimp from the marinade. Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and add shrimp once the pan is hot. Cook until the shrimp turns pink about 2 minutes each side.
Add in the reserved sauce and broccoli. Toss until heated through. Season with salt and pepper if desired and serve over steamed rice.
