Grilled Margarita Shrimp are packed with flavor and then grilled to perfection. The marinade is simple to make and uses very common spices that most have already on hand. It makes a perfect appetizer or served over rice for a simple light dinner. I can promise that this grilled shrimp recipe will be a hit with your friends and family and be the star of your summertime bbq!!
In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, red pepper, brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin salt, pepper and the lime juice.
Toss the shrimp and the marinade together and gently stir to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for about 2-4 hours.
Heat your grill to medium-high heat. Drizzle the tequila over the shrimp and gently stir to combine. Set shrimp on grates and grill for 2 to 4 minutes per side, or just until shrimp are no longer opaque and have some nice char. Place shrimp on a platter and serve with fresh lime wedges to squeeze over the top.
