Looking for a easy, flavorful chicken wing for your next get together or Sunday game day snack these are perfect. These maple-chipolte chicken wings are packed with a sweet, spicy and smokey flavor from the chipolte peppers and maple syrup. With the chicken being tossed in flour and sprayed with oil, it gives the chicken a great browned and crisp exterior that grabs the sticky sauce. The chicken wings come out super tender on the inside All straight out the the oven, no fryer needed.
In a bowl, combine the flour, salt and paprika. Pat the chicken wings dry and toss in the flour mixture.
Shake off the excess flour and spread the chicken in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan. Spray the top of the chicken wings with more vegetable oil spray. Bake the chicken in a 475°F degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until fully cooked and browned. Flip the chicken half way.
While the chicken is baking, combine the chipotle pepper, maple syrup, sage, hot sauce and butter. Bring the mixture to a simmer whisking to combine. Turn off the heat and let sit on the stove to keep warm.
Once the chicken is cooked, place in a clean bowl along with the sauce. Toss to fully coat .
Serve the chicken wings hot with left over sauce drizzled over if desired.
