When looking for a great appetizer to have with family and friends is one that is simple to make and quick. These brown sugar glazed kielbasa bites, the ingredients are very easy to make, if not even already in your kitchen. The simple glaze encapsulates the sausage in a sweet sugary and mustard glaze that is amazingly good. There is only problem with the recipe, they are addictive and your friends and family will ask for them over and over again.
In a bowl, whisk the cola, brown sugar and mustard until smooth.
In a skillet, add the sliced sausage and brown over medium high heat for about 4-5 minutes. Pour cola and brown sugar mixture into the skillet. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer.
Stir and simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes or until a thick, caramelized sauce is formed and covering the sausage pieces. Keep an eye on them and keep stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
Once a glaze is formed over the sliced sausages, remove the skillet from the heat. Transfer sausages to a plate and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. You can also transfer the sausage to a crock pot and keep warm. The sausages and glaze will be HOT, please be careful. |
