One of my favorite breakfast items is homemade cinnamon roll, but sometimes you don't have the time to proof the dough and so on for the time consuming task of making them. This cinnamon pecan streusel coffee cake has the taste of a fresh cinnamon roll within fraction of the time. It is also has airy texture like coffee cake is known for.
As winter peaks with its brutally cold weather here in Minnesota, it was time to bring some brightness with these citrus packed lemon muffins. These lemon crumb muffins come out moist and packed with a great lemon flavor. The muffins are them topped with a lemon infused crumble and glaze that brings a boost of energy in the morning. Within one bite, you will feel the warmth of a nice summer day.
One of the best flavors is a nice warm cinnamon flavored items for breakfast, everything from a warm cinnamon bun to these amazing cinnamon oat scones. These cinnamon oat scones are full of great cinnamon and sugar flavors blended into the flaky and buttery scones. Plus topped with a drizzle of a cinnamon glaze to top it all off. The addition with the oats help get you energized to start your day and they are perfect to grab on your way out the door to start your busy days.
This quick and easy crusty roasted garlic bread is the perfect bread for someone wanting to get into bread making. The crust come out golden brown and crusty, and the inside is soft and moist. When the bread is sliced open, it is spotted with roasted garlic chunks that add a boost in flavor. There is no need for anything special tools, just a spoon and one mixing bowl.
Lobster corn chowder is a rich creamy decadent chowder with chunks of lobster, plenty of corn, diced red potatoes, and a hint of white wine. Lobster corn chowder is perfect for any time of the year, but especially after a cold day in the winter for me. The chowder is easy to prepare, taking about 30-60 minutes to make and promises to be a big hit with friends and family.
When it comes to breakfast, I tend to like a great savory breakfast that usually involves eggs. Eggs are the perfect base for any breakfast. In this roasted vegetable farmers' omelette, it is the perfect savory breakfast. The omelette is packed with flavorful and colorful vegetables in every bite and the egg comes out thick and soft. Its also packed with great nutrients that is needed for your start on the day.
It is perfect for meal prepping your breakfast making enough for 2-3 days all at once.
When looking for a great appetizer to have with family and friends is one that is simple to make and quick. These brown sugar glazed kielbasa bites, the ingredients are very easy to make, if not even already in your kitchen. The simple glaze encapsulates the sausage in a sweet sugary and mustard glaze that is amazingly good. There is only problem with the recipe, they are addictive and your friends and family will ask for them over and over again.
If you are in the search for a side dish that can do with pretty much any meal, you have found a great contender. In this creamed corn casserole, the texture is light and custard-like packed with a sweet corn and thyme flavor. The topping has a great crunch with a rich buttery and creaminess from the crackers and cheese. The dish takes a mixing bowl and a baking dish to bake in, the clean up is simple and the preparation is just as easy to do. The whole dish can be done in about 30 minutes. I find that frozen corn works the best and gives a great sweet flavor. The cheese in the recipe can be switched with any good melting cheese.
When it comes to the holiday season, the first flavor that comes to mind for many people is gingerbread. The full flavor spices mixes with the sweetness of the sugar and molasses makes a perfect combination. In these homemade gingerbread waffles, there is the touch of spice, sweet and make the perfect breakfast for the holiday season. The waffles come out super fluffy and an amazing soft texture. They are great plain, with a quick dusting of powder sugar, or go full out and top with whip cream and maple syrup. The waffles can me swapped with a gluten-free flour to make them a great flavorful gluten-free breakfast.
During the holidays, there tend to be a popular time to have get together with friends and family. This year at a distance unfortunately. When you do get to spend time, this appetizer will be a great for the winter. The hot and gooey crab, artichoke and spinach filling and the crispy wonton wrapper works great together. These crab, spinach and artichoke wonton cups can be made in very little time, but taste like they spent all day preparing them. The filling can be made ahead of time if needed.
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, add the garlic and spinach saute until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the white wine and heat until the spinach wilts, about an additional minute.
In a food processor, process the spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, chili sauce until nice and smooth. Add the artichokes and pulse until artichokes are broken into small pieces.
Pour the cream cheese artichoke mixture into a bowl. Add the crab, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
Place the wonton wrappers in a mini or regular size muffin pan. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of mixture into each cup and top with the parmesan.
Spray with cooking spray and bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes or until the wonton wrappers are browned and the filling is bubbling. Top with the chopped green onions and serve warm.
