As from Minnesota, we are a big art of the discovering different kinds of apples especially for northern climates. The most popular is the Honeycrisp, but almost every one is great flavored apple. The best Minnesota apples to bake with are haralson and zestar. This apple upside-down bread is a fantastic apple dish. It can make a great breakfast but also can make a great dessert warm with a side of cold vanilla ice cream. The apples come out caramelized and the sugary glaze hardens slightly when it cools and covers all the sides as you flip it over onto a dish. Check out the recipe below in post.

A twice baked potato is a great side dish for majority of meals. The replacement of the sweet potato for the standard russet potato is a change that works great with the addition of the bread crumb topping that gives a great brown top and crisp to the sweet potatoes. The soft texture of the sweet potatoes go great with the creaminess of the parmesan cheese that your family will love. The key for this recipe is to find small evenly sized sweet potatoes for even cooking. If you are in a hurry, the sweet potatoes can be cooked quickly in a microwave for about 10 minutes, turning them every few minutes so they cook evenly. Check out the recipe below in this post.
Pork tenderloin is always a big hit around my house. The ease and endless possibilities that can be done with a pork tenderloin is hard to get bored of it. This pineapple glazed pork is a great balance of a sweet from the pineapple juice and sugar and spicy flavor from the jalapenos makes the flavor of the pork pop out. This pineapple glazed pork can be made in about 30-40 minutes which makes it great for the weekdays or even special occasion. The glaze can be made ahead of time if needed.
