Brownie are the one of the most common desserts that can be loved at any time and these caramel turtle brownies are to die for delicious. These caramel turtle brownies are soft and gooey, packed with a rich chocolate flavor, filled with fresh homemade caramel and topped with crunchy pecan pieces. If the caramel making processed seems hard, don't worry it is really simple as long as you keep an eye on it and is totally worth it at the end. Check out the recipe below in this post.
Start off by making the caramel. The process is very simple and easy but do use caution when heating sugar as it will burn you very easily if get on your skin. In a small saucepan, place the sugar and heat over medium high heat..Once the edges start to liquify start stirring until the liquid is clear and light brown. Remove from heat.
Add butter and stir in, then add the cream and mix until well combined.
Return to heat, stir and let it boil for another few minutes.
Pour the caramel on the parchment-lined dish. Freeze for 20-25 minutes or until cooled and hardened to a soft disk.
Melt the chocolate and the butter on a double boiler. (You can microwave carefully if needed is a few short 20-30 second cycles)

Cut the cooled caramel into small squares, Larger chunks fo caramel will make the brownie fall in the spots. Stir the caramel and most of the chopped pecans into the brownie batter and transfer to greased 13” x 9” pan. Sprinkle remaining pecans on top. Bake for 30-35 minute in a 350F degree oven. Let cool completely then serve.
