This quick and easy dinner recipe is made with ground beef, marinara sauce, shaped pasta, Italian seasonings that gives a great flavor. This creamy beef and pasta is meaty and cheesy dish that is tossed with a simple creamy tomato sauce that keeps the dish saucy and never dry. The pasta needs to be a wide shaped pasta that will hug the sauce and meat into every bite. The dish can be done in less than 30 minutes and is a family favorite.
Cook pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water and drain well. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, breaking it with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed and set aside.
Place the same skillet back over medium high heat and add the olive oil and diced onion. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Whisk in flour, Italian seasoning and paprika until lightly browned, for about 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in the beef stock and stir to combine. Let the stock thicken slightly, a out 2-3 minutes.
Add marinara sauce and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until reduced and slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
Next, stir in heavy cream , ground beef and sour cream and simmer until heated through, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in cooked pasta and cheddar cheese.
Season with any additional salt and pepper and serve immediately. Top with any additional cheese if desired.
