When you live in a house with to chocolate loving girls, the best way to their heart is anything chocolate. In this double chocolate banana bread, the bread come out super moist and tender plus it is packed with chocolate flavor and little chunks of banana throughout. The preparation is quite simple and the smell as this bake is amazing, it will make your house smell amazing all day with the smell of chocolate. The bread is perfect for a breakfast any day or even a great dessert.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, mashed bananas, sugar, vanilla extract and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture. Stir until just moistened. Fold in half of the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into a greased 9” x 5” loaf pan. Top with the remaining chocolate chip over the top of the batter.
Bake the bread at 350°F for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack, then remove from the pan and let cool completely on a rack.
