These Peking-Style Chicken Tacos are filled with marinated and tender chicken breast topped with a sweet and spicy sauce and crisp green scallions. You’ll love all the flavors in these tacos! It is the perfect recipe to change up your typical taco tuesday or any other day of the week. The sauce used to marinate the chicken the cooked down quickly to make a glaze like sauce that is pack with garlic, ginger and other amazing flavors. The recipe takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.
In a bowl, mix together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, rice vinegar, garlic and cayenne pepper.
In a separate bowl, add the chicken breast and 3 tablespoons of the sauce. Mix until chicken is coated.
On a hot grill or under a broiler, cook the chicken on both sides until deep golden and fully cooked, about 10 minutes. Wrap the tortillas in foil and place on the bottom rack of the oven or on the colder side of the grill to get warm, about 5 minutes.
Transfer the sauce to a pan and reduce until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
Cut the chicken crosswise into ¼”-½” slices. Top each tortilla with chicken, scallions and sauce.
