As the big game is coming up this weekend, it is the unofficial day of appetizers. These steak taco wonton cups are a perfect contender for the appetizer table. The wonton cups are packed with juicy and tender steak bites. The wontons get nice and crispy as the creamy cheese melts over the steak and tomatoes. It is a quick and easy recipe that will wow over your guests.
In a bowl, combine the diced steak and 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning.
Heat a pan with a tablespoon of oil over medium heat and cook the steak until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
In a clean bowl, combine cooked steak, remaining taco seasoning, and tomatoes in a bowl and stir to combine. Line each cup of prepared muffin tin with a wonton wrapper. Add the steak mixture equally over all of the cups (about 1-2 tablespoons). Top with about 1 tablespoon of cheese.
Bake the prepared wonton cups in a preheated 375°F oven for 12-15 minutes until the cups are heated through and edges are golden. Top each with a dollop of sour cream and sliced green onions.
