One thing a big breakfast cant go out with a great slice of toast to go along with it. In this English muffin bread, the bread comes out with many little holes and crannies for the butter and jam to stick to. The bread comes out soft but firm making it easy to slice and not rock hard after toasting like some other homemade bread recipes. The bread is very quick and easy to make making it great for someone that loves to bake, but lacking the time.
One of my favorite breakfast items is homemade cinnamon roll, but sometimes you don't have the time to proof the dough and so on for the time consuming task of making them. This cinnamon pecan streusel coffee cake has the taste of a fresh cinnamon roll within fraction of the time. It is also has airy texture like coffee cake is known for.
As winter peaks with its brutally cold weather here in Minnesota, it was time to bring some brightness with these citrus packed lemon muffins. These lemon crumb muffins come out moist and packed with a great lemon flavor. The muffins are them topped with a lemon infused crumble and glaze that brings a boost of energy in the morning. Within one bite, you will feel the warmth of a nice summer day.
One of the best flavors is a nice warm cinnamon flavored items for breakfast, everything from a warm cinnamon bun to these amazing cinnamon oat scones. These cinnamon oat scones are full of great cinnamon and sugar flavors blended into the flaky and buttery scones. Plus topped with a drizzle of a cinnamon glaze to top it all off. The addition with the oats help get you energized to start your day and they are perfect to grab on your way out the door to start your busy days.
When it comes to breakfast, I tend to like a great savory breakfast that usually involves eggs. Eggs are the perfect base for any breakfast. In this roasted vegetable farmers' omelette, it is the perfect savory breakfast. The omelette is packed with flavorful and colorful vegetables in every bite and the egg comes out thick and soft. Its also packed with great nutrients that is needed for your start on the day.
It is perfect for meal prepping your breakfast making enough for 2-3 days all at once.
As the new year begins, it seems like everyone is trying to eat better after the long holiday season full of amazing food and desserts. This oatmeal blueberry bread is the perfect nutrient dense breakfast for on the go or to enjoy on a quiet weekend morning. The bread comes out moist and packed with an amazing blueberry and cinnamon flavors. The plus is it is very easy to make and doeskin take long to prepare.
During christmas time, there is the at one thing people either love or hate, Eggnog. I might not be totally on board with drinking it, however I am a huge fan on how it makes this coffee cake delicious. The rich egg flavor helps bring out the flavor and makes a great base for the coffee cake. The cinnamon streusel gives the coffee cake some sweetness then top off with an additional layer of eggnog icing right after baking. It will be a holiday staple for years to come.
When it comes to the holiday season, the first flavor that comes to mind for many people is gingerbread. The full flavor spices mixes with the sweetness of the sugar and molasses makes a perfect combination. In these homemade gingerbread waffles, there is the touch of spice, sweet and make the perfect breakfast for the holiday season. The waffles come out super fluffy and an amazing soft texture. They are great plain, with a quick dusting of powder sugar, or go full out and top with whip cream and maple syrup. The waffles can me swapped with a gluten-free flour to make them a great flavorful gluten-free breakfast.
As in a family with a small child, Finding tasty but healthy snacks can be tough to find a common ground where both the parents and kid is happy. Granola bars a a popular choice with the ease of serving, somewhat healthy and they love them. In these homemade granola bars, the flavors are endless and they are delicious period. My favorite combination is mixing in coconut, mini chocolate chips and M&M's. The bars are made with in minutes and are very easy to make. They travel very well and will energize you when you need a little something to get through the day. After making these, you will never go back to the store bought granola bars.
As fall starts to creep in, one of my favorite fruits become ripe, the apple. Apples are an amazing ingredients to cook and bake with all of the sweetness and great texture. These homemade apple pancakes are a great easy breakfast for these upcoming fall mornings. The pancakes come out light and fluffy and the apple topping adds a great apple flavor and sweetness with the butter and brown sugar sauce. It's a great fruit filled breakfast that even kids will love.
