As this weekend is father's day weekend, why not make a classic great chicken drumette/wing recipe that is great and flavorful. These spicy ranch drumettes have a great bite to them with the ranch flavor soaked throughout them. The preparation is simple and takes minutes, the hardest part is waiting for them to marinade. The chicken comes out juicy and the skin crisps up and melts into the chicken making it perfect to make for the dads or anyone in your life.
Combine wings, hot sauce, melted butter, and lemon juice, with dressing mix and cayenne pepper in a plastic freezer bag.
Seal the bag tightly while pressing out excess air. Squeeze and shake the bag to mix and evenly distribute ingredients. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours to overnight, occasionally flip the bag to ensure the chicken is fully coated.
To cook, heat the grill to medium-high. Oil the grill grates with oil so chicken won't stick.. Arrange chicken in a single layer on the grill. Cook the chicken for 5-8 minutes per side, flipping once. Remove from gril once the chicken reaches 160°F internally. Serve the chicken hot.
The chicken can be done in the oven also. In a 350°F oven, bake the chicken in a greased baking sheet (on a baking rack is preferred) for 40-45 minutes until the skin starts to crisp and the chicken reaches 160°F internally. Check out these other great chicken wing recipes
